Things to know and best practices for submitting a Furniture Services Request…
- Put as much detail into your request as possible. Please include:
- Department representative (i.e., requesting party).
- Provide name and cell phone # in the required fields.
- Date & time
- We will do our best to accommodate, but actual dates and times may vary based on availability. Submitting your request early increases the likelihood that we are able to meet specific needs.
- Location with a diagram of the desired layout, and/or a commitment to have a department representative onsite during setup.
- In the event that a diagram is not provided or the department representative is not present, the equipment will be unloaded and considered a “drop off”.
- For large equipment orders that will be delivered to Building 507, please include in your request the Gateway purchase order number, anticipated delivery date, and whether the package will be picked up by a department representative or needs delivery to be scheduled.
- Received equipment and inventory will be stored at Building 507 for no more than 2 business days.

- Acceptance of a work request by our Operations Service Center does not serve as final confirmation. Our Furniture Services team reviews all requests and will respond to the requesting party when the work has been scheduled.
- All the details of your job should be planned and confirmed at least 2 weeks in advance. While we strive to provide excellent customer service, last minute changes may not be accommodated. Please reach out to the Furniture Services team with any questions or concerns.
- Linen rentals will be charged full rental fees if cancellation is not received 2 weeks prior to the event.
- Estimates are a guide for your budgetary planning. Final charges depend on the final services provided on the day of.
- The requesting party and department are responsible for the security of rental equipment from the time of delivery to time of pick-up. Replacement of broken, damaged, or lost equipment will be charged accordingly.
